A way to post podcasts to my blog

I have just signed on to a new free service called Gabcast.com where you can use the telephone to record audio podcasts and post them to your blog. So, here is my first effort at using this service. Tell me what you think.

Tech update

I have now created a virtual tour of parts of our campus. I edited it using final cut pro on a mac. My first experience on either. What an adventure! I am wondering if anyone else had done this type of thing and has any advice. I am not very happy with some of my filming and editing. I want to make it interesting, but not too gimmicky just because the technology is fun to play with. Also, had trouble laying in a music background audio track, it wouldn't let me put one in after the narration track. Any tips?

Welcome comments

This is my first blog, so initially I limited who could see it. I am now opening it up to further my knowledge and experience. I am an educational technologist at a small community college and adjunct faculty teaching general psychology. My area of passion is learning. I have recently, as evidenced by my posted podcast, dug into Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences as it applies to learning styles. I am experimenting with various technologies to determine which ones meet the widest range of my students. I plan to use blogs, podcasts, clickers and any other media that will encourage my students to engage more fully with the material. This will hopefully encourage more lively discussions and enable my students to apply psychological principles to their own lives to enrich them. Any pointers, observations, cautions, and advice from professionals with experience in these matters as well as students who have experienced these types of efforts are welcome.

Psyched out and Teched up

Welcome to my Psych psyte! I teach psychology, (big surprise) and I am also an Educational Technologist, so I like to use technology in teaching and learning. I will use this blog to share my experiences and observations of the world. I hope you enjoy my world. I have begun to create podcasts about learning and will discover how to share these with you.
